How we pick
Each list answers one buyer question: "Which factories in this country can make this product for my brand?"
1. Who can be on a list
- The company must run its own production site in that country. Traders, brand agents and sales offices are left out.
- The company must make products for outside brands (contract / OEM / ODM work), not only its own brand.
- Where a public registry exists, the factory must appear in it as the manufacturer.
2. What we check
- Registry records — for example product notifications, manufacturing licences and halal certificates, where the country publishes them.
- Company registration date — we show the registration year, not the "founded" year on the website, when the two differ.
- Published terms — minimum order quantity (MOQ), lead time and certifications, if the factory states them.
- Adverse records — regulator cancellations, warning letters and import alerts.
3. What gets a factory left out
- A recent regulator cancellation or warning letter for a product it manufactured.
- No outside brand clients we could confirm.
- Claims we could not match to any record (for example certificates that belong to another company).
Each list names the notable companies we left out and why.
4. Order
Lists are ordered by the editors, weighing registry evidence first, then breadth of outside clients, then published terms and reputation. The order is a judgement, not a formula.
5. Freshness
Every list shows the date its data was captured. Lists older than six months are re-checked before they are updated.
6. Relationship
Published by a team affiliated with one of the listed manufacturers. Listings are not paid for.
